Simple Tactics to Boost Your SEO and Increase Your Influence Through Guest Blogging

When you include one keyword or phrase in your post title, then repeat it in the first sentence – you are using helpful SEO tactics, even if you and/or the source blogger don’t know the first thing about SEO. Learn more about using SEO tactics for blogs here. By writing this follow up post, you are not only expanding on a topic that interested readers can click through to get even more value from your expertise – and hopefully converting them social media as a marketing tool to a subscriber along the way – but you are getting Google brownie points for relevancy. Having a profile or page on the guest blogging outlet of your choice gives you a chance to showcase who you are and start building a community when those who like your post either follow you on social media or head over to your website/blog. If you write more than one post for that blog or e-zine, you’ll start building up a nice library of articles tied to your name. Wrap in Google Authorship and presto – you are building influence. If you write a bio thinking of reader needs and how your skill set can offer them value (instead of just promoting yourself), you end up wrapping in a far more compelling story. Make it about what you can offer your readers, not a brag fest. Don’t forget social media marketing pricing the call-to-action! Outlets that mention and promote author handles when readers use share buttons are amplifying your visibility and helping you build influence. This is important, so if you are deciding between two blog post opportunities, go with the one that recognizes and promotes their authors. If you write a sophisticated post about enterprise software needs, but place it in an entrepreneur blog, odds are good the disconnect will kill your post’s popularity and sharing opportunity. Fit the post to the placement to enhance sharing and relevancy.

Basics of Blogging Search Engine Optimization

Let me start by giving you a crude example of how Google SEO works. Google has developed automatic algorithms that rank your site. They send out what are called “spiders” to “crawl” your site and check it for over 100 indicators that determine whether your site is valuable or useless. These indicators include things like backlinks, domain age, traffic, fresh content, etc. SEO is the art of making sure those spiders are happy with social media marketing blog that they find. It is an extremely complex field that is constantly changing but in all that chaos there are a few constants that have remained true since the beginning. I’ll talk about those here. Well many people speculate that if you were really serious about your website you would get your own name and host it yourself. And Google only wants to point to websites that are considered serious and trustworthy. I recommend all new bloggers get their own domain and hosting setup right from the beginning. You can read more about why in my blog hosting review that I did recently or check out my 9,000-word guide social media marketing experts on how to start a blog and dominate your niche. It has lots of details and tips. You have to remember that Google’s whole purpose is to provide their customers with relevant and useful search results. Everything they do is built around the premise. And, to be realistic, the most important thing you can do for your SEO is create massively useful content that solves people’s problems. If you are solving problems that people are searching for then it is likely that you are going to get shared on social media and ranked in Google.

  1. The way we used to use Google Adwords has changed a lot in past few years. We can't use the same Adwords Campaign Management methods in 2019 and need to improve our Ads strategies to counter market shifts. Automated bidding is one of the best ways to help in this regard.
